Rauma Garn
Rauma Ullvarefabrikk is located in Romsdalen. Here, among high mountains and a beautiful fjord, they have spun quality yarn since 1927.
Rauma Ullvarefabrikk is today one of the few woolen factories that supply Norwegian woolen yarn produced in Norway. They are proud of that.
Rauma Ullvarefabrikk is to this day a family business. The story began when 25-year-old Erling Digernes took over the operation of a small woolen factory in a seaport at Veblungsnes in Rauma almost 100 years ago. At the time, the factory had only three employees, very simple machines, and the job consisted of a lot of manual work. Today, the company is run by the third generation of Digernes.
Today Rauma supply yarn qualities to more than 300 yarn shops at home and abroad. There are many different yarns in their range like merino wool, alpaca, linen, cotton, mohair and silk. But what they are most proud of is the 100% Norwegian wool spun in the factory.
