Luna is spun from the finest 28 micron Norwegian lambswool fleece (28 microns). This means that only the finest fibers from Norwegian white sheep are used in the production of Luna lambswool yarn. This lambswool yarn is loosely spun and has good elasticity. This soft yarn is excellent for most types of medium thick garments. Luna can be combined with Vidde, which is the same weight and length.

Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk has placed an increased environmental focus on the use of dyes in their production. Only GOTS-approved dyes are used for Luna yarn. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) requires dyes to be biodegradable and non-toxic. The finished product cannot contain allergens or residues of dangerous chemicals. GOTS-approved dye is permitted in the organic production of yarn and textiles.
