Cashmere Blend Navy Blue is a luxurious blend of Cashmere and Merino Wool. Extremely soft to the touch and comfortable to wear. Breathable, warm and lightweight. Suitable even for baby knitwear. Made by the most experienced yarn manufacturers in Italy. One of the best from Galo Yarns.

Cashmere

Cashmere is known for its extreme softness, warmth and lustrous quality. High quality cashmere is expensive due to the difficult production process and its scarcity (on average a cashmere goat generates only 150g of fibre per year and it takes 300g to make a jumper). Nevertheless it is the most desirable fibre in the world. Wearing a silky soft cashmere sweater is truly uncomparable experience. When cared for correctly, a high quality cashmere product will last you for life.

Merino Wool

Merino wool is known as the finest and softest wool of any sheep. Merino wool is highly breathable because its fibers can absorb up to 30% of their own weight in moisture wicking it away from the body so the wearer stays dry. In contrast to synthetics merino is an active fibre that reacts to changes in body temperature. So it helps you stay warm when the weather is cold and cool when the weather is hot. The natural anti-microbial properties of this wool make it odor-resistant. Merino wool is also extremely durable, does not require exceptional care and can be easily dyed in any colour.

What to knit?

Cashmere Blend feels very gentle next to the skin and can be used in a wide variety of knitting projects. This yarn is ideal for lace scarfs, shawls, lightweight sweaters, cardigans, dresses, baby knitwear and lots of other things. You can find some ideas on our blog.

Note! It is highly recommended to wash your knitted garment before wearing to see and feel the real beauty and softness of the yarn.
