Galo Yarns Wool is 100% natural product. This wool is grown in New Zealand and spun in Latvia. It is versatile, renewable, dirt resistant, completely biodegradable and healthy. Wool is a protein fibre that has scales and crimp that make it easier to spin into yarn. The crimp in the fibre allows wool fabrics to hold air and thereby retain heat. Wool fibres can also absorb almost one-third of their own weight in water, making wool fabrics excellent for wicking moisture. Wool fibres are also elastic, which means that knitted garments retain their shape over the lifespan of them. The Wool is strong and durable and does not require much care. It lasts for many years and becomes more beautiful the more you use it.
